About Liz Cutbirth

Growing up in the Ozark Mountains, I embrace the heritage of my roots and know the Ozarks like the back of my hand. My family farm is three generations deep and has instilled in me the blue-collar principles of hard work and persistence, giving me the determination to achieve anything worthwhile.

I have worked to achieve excellence all my life, graduating at the top of my class at Mt. Vernon High School in Mt. Vernon, MO, and going straight into two years of intense college basketball and poli-sci debating, while earning the Dean’s List ranking at Drury University in Springfield, MO. From there I transferred to Belmont University in Nashville, TN, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree focused on psychology. In 2023, I received my Masters of Science in Counseling from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR. I currently have a private practice in Springfield, MO where I treat clients ranging from situational distress to severe psychological impairment.

Living in Nashville served to broaden my horizons and outlook on life and inspired me to pursue opportunities to help and support others. My many acts of service over the years have included work with Habitat for Humanity, the TJ Martell Foundation, Regional Girl’s Shelter, The Food Pantry, Room in the Inn, and the Veteran’s Home. I also orchestrated the implementation of the Musicians on Call program in the Cox Health System in Springfield, MO.

I see my work as a mediator as an opportunity to bring my knowledge of psychology, law, and mediation together, along with my calling to be of service to others, as I assist individuals to find effective solutions that work for them. When I work with clients, my goal is to help each person better understand the conflicts they are experiencing, and support them in working efficiently to develop long-lasting resolutions.
